The 37th Constitutional Convention was held at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Mi with registration beginning on Sunday, June 10, 2018 and opening session on Monday, June 11-14, 2018.

A Special Convention was held on January 30, 2018  at UAW Region 9 Auditorium in Buffalo, NY at which Jeff Binz was elected Director, Region 9

On July 26, 2018 UAW Region 9 Veterans Committee and many volunteers held a Hotdog Roast at the Buffalo VA Hospital located at 3495 Bailey Avenue in Buffalo. Volunteers started arriving at 9:30 am and were ready to serve the approximate crowd of 250 by 11am. 

Director Jeff Binz and Assistant Director Tom Ashton were in attendance and assisted where needed. Much gratitude and appreciation to Region 9 Veterans Committee and all those that volunteered their time for this great event!

On June 21, 2018 at The Ponds in Bath, NY volunteers from Locals 774 GM Tonawanda, 686 GM Lockport, 897 Ford Stamping, Local 55 and Local 424 along with Wayne Bieger, VCAP/Region 9 and Ed McGowan, Area Director enjoyed a fun filled day with our Veterans. The committee and volunteers took 25 Veterans and 3 staff members from the V.A. Hospital in Bath, NY on a day long fishing trip.

The Civil & Human Rights Conference was held at the UAW Black Lake Education Center and many Committee members from the following Locals were in attendance Local 1069, 897 and 1097.
