UAW 5502 Statement re ICE and general strike (January 30, 2026)

The Executive Board of UAW 5502 released a statement today (January 30, 2026) in regards to calls for organized labor in Minneapolis to broaden their one-day strike from last week until the ICE occupation ends. We also express our solidarity with workers by amplifying calls for an economic boycott of businesses by refraining from shopping today in solidarity. Lastly, we publicly call for a removal of ICE from the CJC and the city's severance of any relationship with them.
