UAW Local 2300 Endorses Maria Peck for Employee Assembly

UAW Local 2300 is proud to support Building Trades Council member Maria Peck for Cornell Employee Assembly.

Maria has done a lot for the trades at Cornell and has been a strong example of what leadership in the workplace should look like. She has also been a real advocate for women in the trades, helping create space and opportunity in fields where that work still matters every day.

It is important that there are more union members and more working employees represented in Employee Assembly. The people making decisions and having those conversations should include people who understand what daily work on this campus actually looks like.

Maria understands that, and she has already shown through her work and how she carries herself that she will take that responsibility seriously.

We fully support her and everything she has done for the trades, for women in the trades, and for working people across campus, and we encourage everyone to support her for Cornell Employee Assembly.
