UAW TCAT Bargaining Team Update and LU 2300 Call to Action!

February 17, 2025

Sisters, Brothers, Siblings,

We continue to bargain around economic issues. While there has been some movement from both sides, discrepancies between our cost estimates have sparked dialogue around how everyone is estimating the costs of each proposal. The bargaining team also noted that management’s most recent proposal (offered on Thursday, February 13th) did not reflect an understanding of UAW’s priorities.

Management continues to reject proposals on the issues of double-time pay and retention incentives. UAW is continuing to negotiate on these issues, as well as all issues around 401(k) contributions, wage increases, holiday pay, COLA (Cost Of Living Adjustment), However, there is agreement on a number of smaller issues such as shift differentials, training premiums, and tool/shoe allowances.

As we continue to negotiating on the open issues, we need our members’ support. We are planning actions for the upcoming weeks to inform the community about the issues facing our members, as well as demonstrate solidarity from within the membership and broader community. The first event will be a sign-making party open to all UAW 2300 members before and during our membership meeting at the UAW 2300 Hall (2415 N Triphammer) on Thursday, February 20th starting at 3:00 PM. This is in preparation for our first rally which will be held outside of TCAT offices on Friday, February 21st from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Members are encouraged to come for as much of either event as they can.
