A lil information about the above videos:

That is Carl Heastie, he is the New York State Assembly Speaker - We have developed a tradition that all "rookies" on our strike line lead us in a chant - Heastie did, Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul did, Congressman Joe Morelle did, NYS Assembly members Harry Bronson, Jamie Romeo, Mark Johns did, Mayor Lovely Warren did, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand did, Monroe County Clerk Adam Bello did - so did others labor leaders, clergy, and community activists! The support is strong and encourages our members to last "one day longer, one day stronger!"

Here is an example of one of our chants:

"Here we go again - same ol' crap again - out here on this picket line - Mary Barra lost her mind" then "whadda we want? - Contract - when do we want it? - NOW! - If we don't get it? - SHUT IT DOWN!" repeat ... Throw in a verse of Solidarity forever every now and again. And a "I say Union, you say POWER - Union - Power - Union - Power - I say Union, you say YES - Union - Yes - Union - Yes"

Then maybe a military version: "I don't know, but I've been told, General Motors sure is bold - I don't know but I've been told, UAW is solid gold! Sound off, one two - sound off -  three four - UAW will win the war!" Hoo Rah!

 In Solidarity,

 Dan Maloney
