UAW Local 686 Civil and Human Rights Committee hosted their 2nd annual Trunk or Treat on October 21.  Trunk or Treat events have been gaining popularity around the country as a safe alternative for trick or treating.  Members parked their decorated cars in the UAW Local 686 Union Halls parking lot and handed out candy to children who were dressed up for the event.

The morning of November 3 was cold and raining, but you could feel the warmth from the hearts of the runners when Jeff Binz, UAW Region 9 Director, sounded the horn to start the 5k run.  Over 100 runners between the ages of 11 and 84 braved the elements to participate in this year’s 19th Annual UAW Region 9 Veteran’s Appreciation Run in Lockport, NY.  Many of the runners participate in this run every year, and each of them have their own special story for running.

Please see attached letter from Director Jef Binz requesting letters be sent to GM in support of our UAW Brothers and Sisters.
